Formed in 2014, My Pizza My World is an american folk-punk band, with members of Days N’ Daze. Having released an EP EAT IT! in early 2015, followed up by a split with Canadian band Stick and Poke; What The Fuck Is Going On? is the first full length album from self-professed Pizza-Core band. Their sound is an embodiment of folk punk that doesn’t take itself too seriously – while still maintaining the heart-on-sleeve mentality that the genre is known for. Between ragtime and bluegrass, punk and folk, My Pizza My World’s What The Fuck Is Going On? lays out twelve lo-fi tracks that are catchy, fun and keep you coming back for another slice.
Out November 2016. Details TBA very soon.
In the meantime, here is All We’ve Got Records secret pizza crust recipe:
Pour 1 cup warm water (half a cup boiling water with half a cup cold tap water is perfect), over 1 tsp of active dry yeast and 4 tsp white sugar. Let sit for 5 minutes. Meanwhile, mix together in a large bowl 1 1/2 cups unbleached all-purpose flour with 1/2 cup corn flour, 1 tsp garlic powder, and 1 tsp salt. After the water/yeast/sugar mixture is done sitting (it’s ready when you’ve got some decent foam action on top), make a well in the middle of the flour/garlic/salt mixture and slowly pour the liquid in, while stirring the mixture with a fork, incorporating the flour mixture from the sides. Once all the liquid is added, you’ll have a big dough ball. Pour 2 tbsp olive oil onto it, and start working it in with your hands. Knead the dough by hand for 7 minutes. Add a little flour as needed to keep it from sticking to your hands. After kneading, place the dough ball back into the bowl, using a little four on the bottom and on top to keep it from sticking. Cover it with a paper towel or napkin and let it sit for 1 hour in a warm area. Preheat your oven to 400 degrees fahrenheit. After 1 hour, take the dough and very gently stretch it out with your hands into your desired shape and place on a lightly oiled pan. DO NOT USE A ROLLING PIN. Coat the top with a little oil, poke a bunch of holes in the dough with a fork, and then cook it for 5 minutes. Take it out of the oven, add whatever toppings you so desire, and then bake it for 15 to 17 minutes.
